Salman Khan set to create records as Bajrangi Bhaijaan enjoys 15 days of uninterrupted run

Bajrangi Bhaijaan 2015Bollywood

Just a little over a fortnight remains for the release of the biggest film of the year so far,  and the hype for the Salman Khan starrer has reached such peak that it could well arrive on the coming Friday and still attract mighty footfalls. However, the makers are not in mood of something which is just good or excellent. The idea is to arrive in a spectacular manner and justify the 'big release' tag that Bajrangi Bhaijaan has been boasting of ever since it went into production.

The film cannot be second best. Period," says a source attached to the film, "It has to be as big as it gets, both in terms of release as well as the revenue that it generates. Salman's Eid releases are special. Last year we saw the kind of havoc that Kick created on its arrival. The film turned out to be the biggest Salman Khan film ever. Before that the record was held by Ek Tha Tiger and that too was the biggest Eid arrival for Salman, before Kick happened. The story was same for Bodyguard (Eid 2011), Dabangg (Eid 2010) andWanted (Eid 2009). How can you imagine anything lesser for Bajrangi Bhaijaan?"

No wonder, those in the industry pretty much understand that as well and as is the kind of respect that is meted to big ticket blockbuster releases, even Bajrangi Bhaijaan is seeing a solo arrival. This isn't all as no other quintessential Bollywood commercial film is releasing a week later either, hence giving Bajrangi Bhaijaan an open fortnight to play around with.
"Not that anyone is surprised though; it was bound to happen," says an insider, "When a film arrives on a record number of screens, and that too with a hefty price tag attached to it, the need of the hour is to allow an uninterrupted run and let it run its course. You need at least a couple of major weekends for a film to rake in moolah. Also, when there is set audience for a Salman starrer, why to spoil the party with a needless release thrown in between? That would only end up being counterproductive for the film in question, as well as exhibitors and distributors."

Ek Paheli Leela Movie 2015

Ek Paheli Leela Story

Film: Ek Paheli Leela
Cast: Sunny Leone, Jay Bhanushali, Rajneesh Duggal, Mohit Ahlawat, Rahul Dev, Jas Arora
Director: Bobby Khan
Rating: 1/5

After the success of Ragini MMS 2 and a string of item numbers that focused on nothing but her curvaceous body, it's no wonder that Sunny Leone's the newest go-to-girl for producers who couldn't care any less for the A certificate to their films. Her latest, director Bobby Khan's Ek Paheli Leela, is another in that list: It's an unapologetic attempt at riding (even cashing in) on Sunny's oomph quotient.
There are spoilers ahead, so scroll down at your own risk.
The film opens with two princes -- Bikram Singh (Jas Arora) and Ranveer Singh (Mohit Ahlawat) -- fighting for a haunted piece of land because somewhere hidden in it is a 300-year-old sculpture of a lady by celebrated sculptor Bhairon (. To add to the drama, the two princes are completely different from each other: Bikram is a criminal, and can kill without any qualms, whereas Ranveer believes in virtues like love and kindness.

Hamari Adhuri Kahani by Latest Movies Bollywood

Hamari Adhuri Kahani by Latest Movies Bollywood

Hamari Adhuri Kahani is a film where three fine actors all play idiots, says Raja Sen.
Vidya Balan cries a lot throughout Hamari Adhuri Kahani.
Her character, Vasudha, is a timid and relatively mousy woman, one who has let herself be cowed down by patriarchy even when no patriarch is present in her life, and she frequently flies into panicked hysterics.
Merely totting up many a sad element doesn’t create heartbreak, however, and grand tragedy cannot be stitched together like Frankenstein’s monster.

Aarav, a self-made billionaire with a truly miserable childhood, offers Vasudha a job in Dubai.

Vasudha, who has been lying to her young son about the father, Hari, that mysteriously deserted them five years ago, decides with much deliberation to take the job -- and promptly deserts said child instead of taking him along.

Storyline
Hamari Adhuri Kahani is a reportedly based on Mahesh Bhatt's life. Movie is a love story and certainly very different from Mohit's last film, the dark, edgy, gritty, Ek Villain. HAK is actually a love triangle. Vidya said, "Parineeta too was like a love triangle but not a triangle in that sense. But every love story has a triangle in it. That's all I will say." Mohit said, "I have never played safe in my journey as a director. If Aashiqui 2 was a love story with a difference, then Ek Villain was something completely different. I just want to make my kind of films. HAK is in the BR Chopra mould of films. It is about, love, value systems, people's lives from birth to marriage
