Jaanisaar Official Trailer | Imran Abbas & Pernia Qureshi

Jaanisaar Official Trailer | Imran Abbas & Pernia Qureshi

It is 1877 in Avadh, twenty years after India’s first ‘war’ of Independence. A handsome prince returns from England, falls in love with a ‘tawaaif’, and gets to know some deep dark secrets about his parentage. He also learns that the British are not-not all of them, at any rate – the truthful people he has come to believe; some of them can be conniving liars and savage murderers. Muzaffar Ali’s period piece comes to us more than three decades after his ‘Umrao Jaan’, which was based on practically the same theme. You reach out reflexively for its memory when you see ‘Jaanisaar’: the older film is rightfully a classic, with Rekha acing her part as the gorgeous ‘naatch-girl’ and the superb Farooq Sheikh as the noble-man who loses his heart to her, the film a lyrical testament to its times; of this one, the less said the better. Neither Imran Abbas nor Pernia Qureshi do justice to their meaty parts, except he is a tad better than her. A period film demands correct body language: both look modish but contemporary. The way they speak is also very here and now. The awful Englishman (Carl Wharton), representative of the Queen and cruel collector of ‘lagaan’, is theatrical, as are the rest of the supporting acts. The only upside: the wonderful costumes. My tip: watch ‘Umrao Jaan’ instead, and after that pull out the even older ‘Gaman’, Ali’s other timeless triumph. - See more at: http://indianexpress.com/article/entertainment/movie-review/jaanisaar-movie-review/#sthash.fuT32mqX.dpuf

Bangistan is a whip smart and uproarious satire on fundamentalism and the story of two unlikely terrorists, the antitheses of each other, with a common destructive goal. Concerned by the unrest in the name of religion, Subcontinental leaders of Muslims and Hindus, the Imam and the Shankaracharya, announce that they're attending the International Peace Conference in Krakow in a joint effort to help unite the two religions in perpetual harmony. Rival rabble-rousing ragtag organizations, the Islamist Al-Kaam Tamam and right-wing political party Maa Ka Dal separately recruit and brainwash Hafeez and Praveen to suicide bomb the conference so that they may continue to wield their local influence. After a rigorous, and hilarious, 'training' period the two men switch their religious identities to stay under the radar. Hafeez, the jihadi, masquerades as a conservative Hindu, Ishwarchand; while Praveen, the Hindu soldier, dons the garb of a practicing Muslim, Allahrakha. Focused on the mission,...

Baahubali is Indian Grand Spectacle
9 July 2015 | by  (India) –
I was eagerly waiting for this film and I was not disappointed.

Baahubali is one of the most visually impressive films that have come from India. Everything about this film is great. Story, direction, music, a good screenplay and amazing visuals (though they lack some details at some places).

I didn't know who Rajamouli was, basically because I am from North India but I am sure he is something you should know about. SS Rajamouli is great. He has made something that we can be proud of. I was sure that the VFX would be good however I had a doubt about the story. Rajamouli proved me wrong with this film. The story and the execution is even better. You can not expect more. He took a big risk and made it big. This is what we need, good quality cinema. Salman fans should learn something from it.

All the actors are good and perform their part brilliantly. The background score needs special mention because it is amazing.

Yes, some scenes will remind you of 300 and the Lord of The Rings (My favorite movie of all time) but believe me it is different.

The quality of graphics work is very good. In fact its insane for such a cheap price given that Hollywood uses big budget for the same.

So in the end, I would like to say - Go and watch it instead of watching the crap that Bollywood has been producing lately. Its something to be proud of. Book your tickets and watch this Indian grand spectacle. You wont regret it.

Second Hand Husband Movie 2015

STORY: Duty manger at a five star hotel, Rajbir (Gippy Grewal) is in love with Gurpreet (Tina Ahuja), a lawyer. The two want to get married but that's not possible until Rajbir's divorce with his first wife Neha (Geeta Basra) comes through.
Neha asks for hefty alimony. Rajbir finds her demands unreasonable so starts looking for a guy, who could marry her and fulfil her wishes. His groom-hunting forms the story.
Meanwhile, Rajbir's boss Ajit Singh (Dharmendra) is struggling to save his own marriage as wife Byant (Rati Agnihotri) is sick and tired of his drunk, womanising ways. Despite the lack of depth in terms of story or character building, Second Hand Marriage is fairly funny in portions, thanks to the antics of Dharmendra and a talented supporting cast comprising Vijay Raaz, Mukesh Tiwari, Ravi Kishan and Sanjay Mishra. Tiwari's wisecracks and Raaz as a lovelorn inspector in particular, are hilarious.

Punjabi superstar Gippy, who debuts in Bollywood with this film seems overwhelmed by the seniors around. He seems comfortable playing second fiddle to Dharmendra. Govinda's daughter Tina Ahuja too makes her debut here. She is confident, looks good but needs a meatier role to make her mark. Geeta Basra is pleasant in her new desi avatar. Harbhajan's cameo towards the end works in the film's favour as well.

If you do not expect comedy to be too clever, you won't mind this old-school chaotic caper. Watch Trailor

Guddu Rangeela: This movie is a satire misfire

Guddu Rangeela
Direction:
Subhash Kapoor
Actors: Arshad Warsi, Amit Sadh, Aditi Rao Hydari, Ronit Roy
Rating: 2/5Director Subhash Kapoor has a flair for political satire and social commentary. Phas Gaye Re Obama (2010) was a fairly enjoyable kidnapping comedy, and Jolly LLB (2013) took some amusing potshots at the Indian legal system.

In Guddu Rangeela, Kapoor has once again attempted kidnapping and socio-political tropes, but with much less success. Amit Sadh and Arshad Warsi play Guddu and Rangeela respectively, a couple of stereotypical north Indian goofballs involved in small-time scams. When they finally bite off more than they can chew and end up in desperate need of 10 lakhs, they're forced to accept a kidnapping job that involves holding a speech- and hearing-impaired girl named Baby (Aditi Rao Hydari) for ransom.

It's all fine and dandy in the beginning - the film is a straightforward comedy with a fun dose of rural north-Indian humor. One scene has the two of them hilariously crooning a song called 'Mata ka email' before an audience.

 Watch trailer

ou're led to believe that this will be a crime caper along the lines of Dedh Ishqiya. Unfortunately, there's a twist to the kidnapping and suddenly the film turns into a serious drama laced with sociopolitical whiffling. The commentary is heavy-handed - there's a formulaic khap leader (Ronit Roy) who constantly rapes and kills, and stares with bloodshot eyes, threatening murder to female politicians. Roy has played this heartless, ruthless towering baddie five times since Udaan (2010), and it's become a bit of a parody.

Guddu Rangeela is also very loud. As the narrative gets messy and the humour dissipates, the plot shifts from a rural village to Shimla to coal mines to sex tapes without really settling to a focus. A ham-handed tragic backstory to Rangeela prompts some deafening Karan-Arjun style speech-giving. The twists make no sense and give the film the air of a bad 1980s flick, rather than a parody of one.

While Warsi is fine, yet again, as the bearded small-town lead, Sadh is utterly miscast as a goof. Hydari has little impact; but then she doesn't have much to work with in terms of character.

There's a graceless attempt at 'women's empowerment' towards the end. All it does is makes one wish the film had just stuck to delivering harmless entertainment.

Plot:
DharamSankat Mein is basically about a Hindu man (portrayed by PareshRawal) discovers that he was an adopted son of a Hindu family. He enters into severe identity crisis phase when he learns that he was a Muslim born. The story of the film starts in motion when PareshRawal seeks out to find his father.
Critic’s Review:
DharamSankat Mein has received quite a cold critic’s review. Though the concept of the story had potentiality to win hearts of many yet the incoherent story lines marred the show. Bollywood of late has been viewing a certain type of film genre which is religion and religious beliefs. India being a secular country, it becomes quite difficult to unveil the irrational beliefs beneath a religion keeping the sentiments and emotions of the mass intact. This is exactly where the film lacks imagination.
Cast and director:
Under the screen name of Naseeruddin Shah, Neelanand Baba, the Viacom 18 has created a fake religion and named it as Neel Dharma to promote the film. This false religion has a facebook page, twitter account, and even a whatsapp account on its name. This is an endeavor to catch people’s eye.
Why you will watch it:
The veteran actors like PareshRawal and Naseeruddin Shah’s worth appreciating performances are a must watch. The film propagates the social message that on the pretext of religion and faith several religious prejudices are still in practice in India. Featured as a comedy movie, the film can be watched with the entire family. The film is good to be a light-hearted entertainment for the week.

Bezubaan Ishq Movie 2015

Bezubaan Ishq - Official Trailer

sTORYCousins Rumzum (Sneha Ullal) and Suhani (Mugdha Godse) are thick as thieves. The beer-loving, party girl Suhani gets engaged to Swagat  , who falls for the simplicity of Rumzum instead. Who gets the boy?

REVIEWTragic love stories loaded with sacrifices, obligations and heartbreak...once in a while, a film comes along which reminds you that some people are still stuck in the 80's time warp. The makers of Bezubaan Ishq certainly are. Their concept is ghastly outdated and the television soap opera-esque execution yawn-worthy. To add to the drama in the jaded love triangle, you are told Suhani suffers from a rare disorder that make her faint every time she gets angry.

upporting characters speak in weird accents and their appearance and disappearance make no difference to the plot. Slow-mo dream sequences pretty much form the whole story. Speaking of the lead actors, Ullal barely speaks and the hero is over-expressive. Godse is decent but she has nothing substantial to do.

Bezubaan Ishq looks like an unintentional spoof of dated romantic films. The animation used in the last scene will crack you up!

Salman Khan set to create records as Bajrangi Bhaijaan enjoys 15 days of uninterrupted run

Bajrangi Bhaijaan 2015Bollywood

Just a little over a fortnight remains for the release of the biggest film of the year so far,  and the hype for the Salman Khan starrer has reached such peak that it could well arrive on the coming Friday and still attract mighty footfalls. However, the makers are not in mood of something which is just good or excellent. The idea is to arrive in a spectacular manner and justify the 'big release' tag that Bajrangi Bhaijaan has been boasting of ever since it went into production.

The film cannot be second best. Period," says a source attached to the film, "It has to be as big as it gets, both in terms of release as well as the revenue that it generates. Salman's Eid releases are special. Last year we saw the kind of havoc that Kick created on its arrival. The film turned out to be the biggest Salman Khan film ever. Before that the record was held by Ek Tha Tiger and that too was the biggest Eid arrival for Salman, before Kick happened. The story was same for Bodyguard (Eid 2011), Dabangg (Eid 2010) andWanted (Eid 2009). How can you imagine anything lesser for Bajrangi Bhaijaan?"

No wonder, those in the industry pretty much understand that as well and as is the kind of respect that is meted to big ticket blockbuster releases, even Bajrangi Bhaijaan is seeing a solo arrival. This isn't all as no other quintessential Bollywood commercial film is releasing a week later either, hence giving Bajrangi Bhaijaan an open fortnight to play around with.
"Not that anyone is surprised though; it was bound to happen," says an insider, "When a film arrives on a record number of screens, and that too with a hefty price tag attached to it, the need of the hour is to allow an uninterrupted run and let it run its course. You need at least a couple of major weekends for a film to rake in moolah. Also, when there is set audience for a Salman starrer, why to spoil the party with a needless release thrown in between? That would only end up being counterproductive for the film in question, as well as exhibitors and distributors."

Ek Paheli Leela Movie 2015

Add caption

Ek Paheli Leela Story

Film: Ek Paheli Leela
Cast: Sunny Leone, Jay Bhanushali, Rajneesh Duggal, Mohit Ahlawat, Rahul Dev, Jas Arora
Director: Bobby Khan
Rating: 1/5

After the success of Ragini MMS 2 and a string of item numbers that focused on nothing but her curvaceous body, it's no wonder that Sunny Leone's the newest go-to-girl for producers who couldn't care any less for the A certificate to their films. Her latest, director Bobby Khan's Ek Paheli Leela, is another in that list: It's an unapologetic attempt at riding (even cashing in) on Sunny's oomph quotient.
There are spoilers ahead, so scroll down at your own risk.
The film opens with two princes -- Bikram Singh (Jas Arora) and Ranveer Singh (Mohit Ahlawat) -- fighting for a haunted piece of land because somewhere hidden in it is a 300-year-old sculpture of a lady by celebrated sculptor Bhairon (. To add to the drama, the two princes are completely different from each other: Bikram is a criminal, and can kill without any qualms, whereas Ranveer believes in virtues like love and kindness.

Hamari Adhuri Kahani by Latest Movies Bollywood

Hamari Adhuri Kahani by Latest Movies Bollywood

Hamari Adhuri Kahani is a film where three fine actors all play idiots, says Raja Sen.
Vidya Balan cries a lot throughout Hamari Adhuri Kahani.
Her character, Vasudha, is a timid and relatively mousy woman, one who has let herself be cowed down by patriarchy even when no patriarch is present in her life, and she frequently flies into panicked hysterics.
Merely totting up many a sad element doesn’t create heartbreak, however, and grand tragedy cannot be stitched together like Frankenstein’s monster.

Aarav, a self-made billionaire with a truly miserable childhood, offers Vasudha a job in Dubai.

Vasudha, who has been lying to her young son about the father, Hari, that mysteriously deserted them five years ago, decides with much deliberation to take the job -- and promptly deserts said child instead of taking him along.

Storyline
Hamari Adhuri Kahani is a reportedly based on Mahesh Bhatt's life. Movie is a love story and certainly very different from Mohit's last film, the dark, edgy, gritty, Ek Villain. HAK is actually a love triangle. Vidya said, "Parineeta too was like a love triangle but not a triangle in that sense. But every love story has a triangle in it. That's all I will say." Mohit said, "I have never played safe in my journey as a director. If Aashiqui 2 was a love story with a difference, then Ek Villain was something completely different. I just want to make my kind of films. HAK is in the BR Chopra mould of films. It is about, love, value systems, people's lives from birth to marriage
